Ange-Marie Hancock

Ange-Marie Hancock is associate professor of political science at USC. Prior to graduate school Hancock conducted the original research and wrote the business plan for the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), now entering its 13th year. Her first book, The Politics of Disgust and the Public Identity of the “Welfare Queen”, won 2 national awards and has been used as a textbook. She has been quoted in The New York Times, BBC online and appeared on NPR, CBC Radio, and USC-Annenberg’s Television and Radio programs. Hancock’s next book, Beyond the Oppression Olympics, is due out in late 2009.
